Fly In Request – Visitors are Welcome

!!!The runway will be closed on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 for sealing.!!!

SHORT TERM VISIT – LESS THAN 2 CUMLATIVE WEEKS OVER THE COURSE OF THE CALENDAR YEAR. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. NO FEES FOR SHORT TERM VISITS.

Simply send Ken or Mike an email with the following information:

  • Your name.
  • Aircraft Type.
  • Tail number.
  • Cell Phone number.
  • Expected arrival and departure dates.
  • Emergency contact name and number.

Print Out a copy of the email and after arriving place it where it can be read through the windshield. Again, no fees for short term visits, see you soon.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS:
Insurance – All aircraft must carry a minimum of $1 million of liability coverage.

LONG TERM STAYS – STAYING MORE THAN 2 CUMLATIVE WEEKS OVER THE COURSE OF THE CALENDAR YEAR.

OPERATIONS FEE SCHEDULE:
Stay for up to two weeks with no landing or parking fees!.
Please try to provide 48 hours’ notice of your arrival.
After two weeks, an operations fee of $400 per year or $40 per month will apply.
Contact the owner of your hangar, tie-down space, Mike, Ken or board member for details.
Cash or checks are accepted, no Credit Cards. Please send payment to Ruby Star Board 19348 S Ruby Airpark Drive, Sahuarita, AZ, 85629, or deliver to any resident.

Non-Member Hangar Renters; When renting a hangar or tie-down space from a property owner or the Property Owner’s Association for an extended time, you will need to apply for a “License Agreement for Runway use” releasing the Association from liability. You will also need to provide proof of insurance naming the Association as an additional insured.

Elevation is approximately 4,000 feet and the pattern altitude is 5,000′.
Runway is paved, 4,300 feet long x 50 feet wide.
CTAF: 122.90
All patterns are flown NORTH of the runway.
Be aware that the runway slope is approximately 2.9 degrees down from West to East.
Off the runway there is gravel – avoid high power ops to prevent prop damage.
Ruby Star is not responsible for damage to your airplane.
No night ops permitted
Vehicle traffic is limited to 30 MPH throughout the airpark! Drive friendly!
Vehicles must comply with traffic signs and STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN before crossing the runway
Fuel is not available. Nearest fuel is KRYN 14.5 NM North
